Stuck in the mud!!!
How is it Friday and I've only run 10 miles so far this week? This is one of the weeks where I hate having a blog because I'm embarrassed to say that I'm sick of running and can't make myself right now!!! Ahh!!! Why do I always go through these little stages every other week? I'm just not disciplined enough right now. It's too dang hot out and I have just felt so sluggish and gross...and now I'm beating myself up because Mohican is so soon. I know that if I just get a really good long run in this weekend my confidence will be boosted 100%, so that is my goal: make up the miles tomorrow.

Ok Miss Lazy, get your BUTT Moving :-) and you are right one long run will make you feel a lot better!
Thank goodness Ultra's are MORE mental than physical so we are OK if we don't get in those high miles every week...
Do you x-train at all? I used to find that I'd lose motivation very quickly if I was doing the same stuff over and over again. Sometimes it's as easy as running in brand new area, with a different partner, or hoping on the bike. I love mixing it up on the bike, keeps it fresh:)
Either way, I'm sure you'll do fine in the race!

Yeah but the reason I haven't been running this week is because of no mental discipline, not lack of physical ability. Dangit!

No, I never XTrain. I sometimes want to but then I feel like I would have to run more later to make up that missed day. I think you're right- it's time I switch it up SOMEHOW!
Clara, you need a big 'ol kick in the rear end???? GET OUT THERE!!!! You need a good, long 6-7 miler. Trust me, you'll be so high on endorphins afterwards, you'll be begging for more the next day, your mental blues will be gone, and you'll be back in the game. GO GET SOME DIRT!!! (yes, I'm yelling!)
