Back of Knee Pain

For the past couple of weeks the back of my knee has felt weird, kind of tight or something. It feels like my leg isn't being extended enough, like I can't stretch it fully and it needs to pop. What the heck does that mean? I notice it sometimes when I run and sometimes when I do Zumba.

Unfortunately I hate anything that's related to anatomy so when I tried researching the "injury" online, I got a sick feeling. Ugh. But, the leg's not swollen and I don't hear a popping sound; I don't think it locks up but I don't know. I hope I didn't tear a ligament or something. If I did, wouldn't the pain be sharper and constant?

Is it all this non-stretching catching up with me? Old age? I think I'll play my naive card again and hope for the best but didn't know if you guys are familiar with this feeling??

I did something weird to my right knee last Sunday, too. Hope it's better soon. You running Regis50K next weekend?

Not doing Regis50k. I had looked into it but I'm going to Spain in a couple of weeks and didn't know the dates until just now. You?

Yeah...I'm signed up for it. If the conditions are like last year, I'll be really happy!
