It appears that your toenails keep getting worse after each long run. My question is, how do you plan on running in the future? Are you going to wait until they heal, or bandage them, or just live with it? I don't suspect that we need our toenails for anything useful. I mean, look at pinky toenails.
Well I always have had two toenails that seem to always be missing, or at least they always look nasty...like the second picture here. This is the first time that my big toenail has come off.
I plan to continue running on my toeless feet and not do anything to them. I've gone running a few times since my big toenail came off and it hasn't bothered me. Obviously it will be different running 62.9 miles but oh well- you live and you learn. I'll bring medical tape and bandaids if something crazy happens during the race.
If I always waited to do another run until my toenails completely healed and grew back, I'd be running twice a year.

I agree on the toenail usage- they're pointless.
I can't believe you put pictures up of those things. I hope your next employer finds this blog.
Haha! I'm proud of them. I can't wait to put pictures up of these nasty toenails after my race this weekend...they'll be even cuter.
